Ds INCLUSIVE DECAYS

چکیده

The availability of branching fractions for a large majority of Ds decays permits the prediction of inclusive branching fractions. This is achieved with the help of a modest amount of input from an isospin statistical model applied to nonresonant multibody Ds decays. A systematic uncertainty in these mostly small branching ratios is estimated by comparing predictions of this model with those of a model involving quark-antiquark pair production. The calculated inclusive branching fractions can be compared with data (for example, from a large sample of D s D ∗− s + D ∗+ s D − s obtained by the CLEO Collaboration) and examined for specific final states which can shed light on strong and weak decay mechanisms.

Extraction method of γ from semi - inclusive b → Ds decays

We propose a new method to extract a CP angle γ from semi-inclusive twobody nonleptonic decays, b → D0(D̄0)s and b → DCP s. This method is free from the unknown long distance strong interaction effects and gives theoretically cleaner signal than the similar method using exclusive nonleptonic decays, B → DK. We can determine γ with 4-σ accuracy for 40o ∼ γ ∼ 160o. Typeset using REVTEX ∗e-mail : j...

6 Results from the Υ ( 5 S ) Engineering Run ( Belle )

We report results based on a 1.86 fb −1 data sample collected on the Υ(5S) resonance by the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric energy e + e − collider. The inclusive production of Ds, D 0 and J/ψ mesons at the Υ(5S) is studied. From the Ds inclusive branching fraction the ratio fs = (16.4 ± 1.4 ± 4.1)% of B (*) s ¯ B (*) s to the total b ¯ b quark pair production at the Υ(5S) energy is obtai...

Hadronic Charm Decays in Cleo

We present several results on hadronic D meson decays. We report on results from the scan of the energy region from 3970 MeV to 4260 MeV, which was used to determine an optimal energy to carry out the Ds physics program of CLEO-c. Improved measurements of inclusive and exclusive D and Ds branching fractions are presented. We also show results on Dalitz analyses of D+ → π+π−π+ using CLEO-c data ...
